- Get 2 Tbsp Chana Dal
- Take 1 Tbsp Urad Dal

- Get 1 inch ginger chopped
- Make ready 1 medium size onion chopped
- Prepare 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- Make ready 1 Tbsp tamarind pulp
- Prepare to taste Salt
- Prepare as needed Water
- Make ready 1 Tbsp oil
- Make ready For Mashed Potato
- Get 5-6 medium size potatoes boiled and peeled
- Get 2 tsp Chana Dal
- Get 1 tsp Urad Dal
- Make ready 1 inch ginger chopped
- Take 1 medium size onion chopped
- Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Take 1 sprig curry leaves
- Make ready 1 Tbsp lime juice
- Make ready 1 sprig coriander leaves chopped
- Make ready Pinch asafoetida
- Make ready 1 Tbsp oil
- Make ready to taste Salt
- Take For Making Dosa
- Get as needed Ghee
- Prepare 1 cup Dosa Batter
- Get 1/2 cup Red Chutney
- Take 1 cup Mashed potato
- Make ready 2 Chopped onions
- Take 4 tsp Chopped coriander leaves
Steps to make Mysuru Masala Moong Dal Dosa:
- Dosa Batter - soak Moong Dal for 2 hours in a bowl covered. Strain after washing 2 times and add to a blender. Add chopped ginger, green chillies, salt and water and blend smooth. Add to a bowl and Dosa batter is ready.
- For Red Chutney - in a pan heat oil, on low flame add Chana Dal, Urad Dal and stir for few seconds. Add garlic cloves, chopped ginger, chopped onion and stir for 2 mins until onion is translucent. Add turmeric powder, whole red chillies, salt and stir well. Set aside to cool in room temperature. Add to the blender and add tamarind pulp and little water to make a smooth Chutney paste. Set aside
- For Mashed Potato - in a pan heat oil and on low flame add Chana Dal, Urad Dal and fry for it to turn brown. Add chopped green chilies, curry leaves and chopped ginger, hing and stir for 2-3 mins. Add chopped onions, turmeric powder and stir until translucent. Add boiled and cut potatoes and mix well. Add salt. Mash the potatoes with the back of the spatula. Add lime juice and mix well. Set aside
- For making Dosa - in a Dosa pan heat and sprinkle little water. Once evaporated take a ladle of the batter and pour onto the Pan. With back of the ladle spread the batter, on low flame add 1 Tbsp ghee and smear too. Add red Chutney and smear all sides. Add chopped onions and coriander leaves a little. Place a part of the mashed potato in the centre and with a spatula check if sides come off easily. Fold half and set aside.
